Position Summary

Fresno Adventist Academy is seeking a nurturing, creative, and mission-driven TK/Kindergarten Teacher to provide a strong academic and spiritual foundation for young learners. The teacher will create a Christ-centered classroom environment that supports development while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.

Primary Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students
  • Implement early literacy, numeracy, and foundational learning skills
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse developmental needs of young learners
  • Utilize hands-on, and interactive learning strategies
  • Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records

Classroom Environment

  • Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom that supports social-emotional growth
  • Establish routines that promote independence, responsibility, and positive behavior
  • Foster a joyful learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity

Spiritual Development

  • Integrate Christian faith and values into daily instruction and classroom activities
  • Lead students in prayer, worship, and age-appropriate Bible learning experiences
  • Model Christ-like character in interactions with students and families

Communication & Collaboration

  • Maintain consistent, positive communication with parents regarding student progress and development
  • Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and the Central California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Office of Education
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree  in Elementary Education, with some experience or classwork in ECE (preferred)
  • Valid NAD teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Experience working with young children (TK–K preferred)
  • Understanding of early childhood development and best practices
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Seventh-day Adventist education
  • Active member of the Adventist Church
  • The current ability to work in the United States 

 

The Wage Scale range is $57,534-$74,190
