Position Summary
Fresno Adventist Academy is seeking a nurturing, creative, and mission-driven TK/Kindergarten Teacher to provide a strong academic and spiritual foundation for young learners. The teacher will create a Christ-centered classroom environment that supports development while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for learning.
Primary Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate, standards-based instruction for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students
- Implement early literacy, numeracy, and foundational learning skills
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse developmental needs of young learners
- Utilize hands-on, and interactive learning strategies
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
Classroom Environment
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom that supports social-emotional growth
- Establish routines that promote independence, responsibility, and positive behavior
- Foster a joyful learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity
Spiritual Development
- Integrate Christian faith and values into daily instruction and classroom activities
- Lead students in prayer, worship, and age-appropriate Bible learning experiences
- Model Christ-like character in interactions with students and families
Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain consistent, positive communication with parents regarding student progress and development
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and the Central California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Office of Education
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
