Girls' Assistant Dean

Rio Lindo Adventist Academy in Healdsburg, CA
Pacific Union Conference | Northern California Conference of SDA
Description

Rio Lindo Adventist Academy is a private Seventh-day Adventist boarding high school located in beautiful Northern California. We serve a diverse population of students in grades 9–12, with a mission to reflect Christ, cultivate the relevancy and excitement of learning, and impact the world through education and service.

As part of the Northern California Conference, we are guided by core values that call us to reflect Christ in all relationships, pursue excellence, build authentic community, lead through service, and steward our resources faithfully.

We are seeking a Girls Assistant Dean for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is central to creating a safe, structured, and Christ-centered residential environment for our female students. The Assistant Dean partners closely with the Head Girls Dean and school staff to support the personal, social, and spiritual development of students in a boarding school setting.

Life in the dorm is more than supervision—it is daily discipleship. It is presence in the ordinary moments: late-night conversations, accountability when choices fall short, laughter in community spaces, and steady guidance when students are learning who they are becoming.

Duties include but are not limited to supervising dorm life, building meaningful relationships with students, supporting discipline and accountability systems, assisting with dorm programming and worships, ensuring cleanliness and organization within the dorm, and collaborating with staff and families to support student growth and well-being.

Required Experience
  • Strong sense of calling to youth ministry and mentorship
  • Experience working with high school students (boarding or residential experience preferred)
  • Ability to build positive, structured, and relational environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Willingness to support dorm routines, including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to the mission and NCC core values
  • Active, supportive member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
