Position: Part-Time Teacher for Grades 4-5 

Hours: 20 hours per week   

Compensation: Pay based on experience   

Subjects: Science, Social Studies, Outdoor, and Others as Needed 

Location: Lester Coon Adventist School 

Position Overview:  We are seeking a passionate, organized, and mission-driven educator to join our team as a PartTime Teacher. In this role, you will be entrusted with leading instruction, lesson planning, and grading for Science, Social Studies, Outdoor, and any other subject needed. This teacher will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of academic and spiritual development while the principal attends to administrative responsibilities. 

Responsibilities 

- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Science, Social Studies, and Outdoor Learning 

- Plan and prepare weekly lessons aligned with curriculum standards 

- Develop meaningful learning experiences that foster student growth 

- Assess, grade, and provide feedback on student work in a timely manner 

- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic achievement 

- Create a positive, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment 

- Communicate consistently with the principal and staff regarding classroom needs and student progress 

- Uphold and model Christian principles and values in the classroom 

- Support and uphold the mission and vision of the school and the Seventh-day Adventist education system 

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Valid teaching certification (preferred but not required)
- A committed and practicing Seventh-day Adventist
- Strong organizational, instructional, and classroom management skills
- Experience teaching Science, Social Studies, and/or Bible is a plus 
- Ability to integrate Biblical principles into academic subjects naturally and meaningfully
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for Christian education and for inspiring young minds academically and spiritually
