Sandy Lake Academy is a Junior Primary to Grade 12 Christian school sitting on a beautiful 50 acres of lakefront property in Bedford, Nova Scotia. We are a rapidly growing school, and our teaching staff is relatively expanding as well. This is boosted by a very high teacher retention rate demonstrating that we are a great place to work. Our beautiful campus serves families in Halifax, Bedford, Sackville and surrounding areas of Nova Scotia and we are looking for a French Teacher to join the team. Our primary goal at Sandy Lake Academy is to provide an atmosphere in which students may explore creation and the Creator through extraordinary Bible classes, exceptional academics, an outstanding music program, a terrific health and fitness program, and wholesome social activity. We strive to provide a Christ-centered curriculum and program of activities which will impart to our students the knowledge and wisdom they need for success. We are looking for a Spirit-filled and dedicated teacher who will model Adventist principles and lifestyle. The teacher will be filling in for a one-year maternity leave. We are looking for someone who is organized, who can establishe and maintain classroom guidelines in accordance with school policies, one who holds students to high standards of academics, character, and Christ-like behavior while being flexible and nurturing to each student's individual circumstances and needs. The individual is a Christ-centered person who wishes to make a positive difference in student’s lives. The candidate is able to effectively convey the NAD curriculum. The applicant will be a part of collaborative team and will be expected to communicate and work with students, parents, and fellow staff members. 

The ideal candidate will be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing, who will model Adventist beliefs, values, and standards. They would hold North American Division teaching certification/credentials or be willing to work towards gaining those credentials.
