Campion Academy is seeking a passionate and mission-driven History Teacher to join our boarding school community. The ideal candidate will provide engaging, standards-based instruction in history and social sciences while integrating faith and learning through a Seventh-day Adventist worldview. This teacher will cultivate critical thinking, historical understanding, civic responsibility, and spiritual growth in students, helping them understand history in the context of the Great Controversy theme. In addition to classroom instruction, the successful candidate will actively participate in the spiritual, social, and residential life of the boarding school community through supervision responsibilities, class sponsorship, and campus involvement.

Primary Teaching Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging, standards-based courses in:
    o World History
    o United States History
    o Government
    o Economics
  • Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional strategies that promote
    active learning and student engagement.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, discussion, collaboration, and academic excellence.
  • Integrate faith and learning by presenting history through a biblical worldview and
    the framework of the Great Controversy.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and technology to meet diverse student
    learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly and communicate effectively with
    students and parents regarding academic performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Teach dual-credit or college-level history courses if appropriately qualified.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in student supervision duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a class sponsor and support student activities and events.
  • Engage positively in the boarding school lifestyle, including attendance at
    campus programs, spiritual activities, and community events.
  • Model Christian values and maintain a positive spiritual influence on students.
Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or related field required with NAD teaching credentials. 
  • Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing.
  • Strong commitment to the philosophy, mission, and values of Seventh-day Adventist education.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary and benefits are based on the denomination’s wage scale policy for 10-month employment and will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
