Mile High Academy is seeking a Chaplain to provide clear, intentional spiritual leadership for students, faculty, and staff. The Chaplain cultivates a Christ-centered campus culture that leads students to know Jesus, grow in their love for the Lord, and develop a personal relationship with Him through discipleship, biblically grounded programming, student leadership development, and service opportunities. This role focuses on developing students who graduate with a strong biblical worldview and are prepared to apply their faith to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model and actively promote the beliefs, values, and lifestyle of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Provide strategic leadership for the spiritual life of the campus, ensuring initiatives address real spiritual needs through a biblical worldview.
  • Intentionally disciple students through daily interaction, mentorship, Bible study, and spiritual guidance.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable presence on campus, building relationships that foster trust, growth, and accountability.
  • Develop and implement a clear plan to cultivate a campus-wide culture of Bible study and spiritual community.
  •  Equip and empower students to lead worship services, small groups, and student-led ministry initiatives.
  • Create and expand opportunities for student involvement in evangelism, outreach, and community service, fostering a culture of mission and service.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of an annual mission trip, supporting student engagement in cross-cultural service and outreach.
  • Teach Bible classes.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration.
Required Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, religion, youth ministry, or related field.
  • Active member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist education.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and relational ministry skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in campus ministry, youth ministry, or pastoral ministry.
  • Experience developing student leaders and organizing spiritual programming.
  • Demonstrated ability or experience in teaching, with skills to effectively lead classroom instruction.
  • Encounter Bible curriculum trained

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation is based on the denominational wage scale policy. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.
