Spring Valley Academy (SVA), a Seventh-day Adventist PreK–12 Christian school located in Centerville, Ohio, is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered educator to serve as our Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

Spring Valley Academy currently serves approximately 600 students in grades PreK–12. Our elementary program is built on collaboration and teamwork. We have two fifth grade teachers, and the successful candidate would be joining an experienced and supportive teaching team that works closely together to help students thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

Responsibilities

• Teach all core elementary subjects to fifth grade students
• Create an engaging, organized, and spiritually nurturing classroom environment
• Integrate biblical principles and faith into daily instruction
• Maintain strong communication with parents, staff, and administration
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support student growth
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, worships, and professional development opportunities
• Support the mission and values of Seventh-day Adventist Christian education

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
• Current teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred
• Practicing Seventh-day Adventist in regular standing with the church
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for mentoring and discipling students spiritually and academically
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Prior elementary teaching experience preferred
