Memphis Adventist Academy (MAA) is seeking a dynamic grades 5-6 classroom teacher.  If you are committed to learning, have a love for teaching, relate well to students and parents in a positive manner, and love being part of a team WE NEED YOU at MAA.  We invite you to join our collaborative team.

Music skills in choir and handbells would be highly valued.

MAA serves students from Kentucky-Tennessee and South Central churches.  The school currently has approximately 90 students with expected growth for next year.  Situated in a delightful suburban neighborhood setting, the school has a well-maintained facility with a gym, supportive board, devoted churches, and family-friendly community.  It is also just a short drive for those that prefer country living.  This is the ideal position for an energetic educator who wants an immersive, hands-on experience as part of a learning community striving towards quality and excellence.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate: holds current NAD certification; is willing to learn and try new things, has experience teaching multi-grade school students, with areas of strength in teaching music; is proficient using typical classroom technology and software; works well with colleagues and administration; has strong people skills, particularly with a wide range of ethnicities; models Christianity and upholds the faith and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Additionally, a candidate who is  Spanish/English bilingual would be exceptional! The applicant must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States.
