Daughter of Zion Junior Academy (DOZJA), located in Delray Beach, Florida, is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered elementary school teacher who views teaching not simply as a profession, but as a ministry. This position plays an important role in nurturing young learners by building strong academic, spiritual, and character foundations. At DOZJA, we believe in educating the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

Teachers are expected to model Christian values, integrate faith into instruction, and cultivate an environment where students grow in their relationship with Christ while pursuing academic excellence. Faculty members support “The DOZJA Way,” which emphasizes Christ-centered learning, academic excellence, leadership development, service, and strong partnerships with families and the church
community.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
• Integrate Christian faith and Seventh-day Adventist values into daily instruction
• Foster a structured, caring, and positive classroom environment
• Support students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development
• Utilize differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Utilize instructional technology to enhance learning
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
• Participate in weeks of prayer, student activities, and daily worships
• Supervise students during school activities and events
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration
• Provide instruction in core elementary subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and Bible
• Maintain accurate and timely academic records and assessments

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated educators who:

• Have a bachelor's degree in education or related academic field
• Have denominational certification or have a willingness to work towards it
• Active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing
• Legally eligible to reside and work in the United States
• Are committed to the philosophy and mission of Seventh-day Adventist education
• Demonstrate strong instructional and classroom management skills
• Demonstrate the ability to mentor and motivate middle school students
• Possess strong communication and collaboration skills
• Demonstrate a commitment to student leadership and character development
