Description

Perrine Seventh-day Adventist School is a private K-8 Christian school, located in Palmetto Bay, Florida, providing a holistic learning environment for students and guiding them to develop meaningful relationships with God, peers, family, and community. We are seeking a creative, dynamic grade 3-4 teacher who is a team player, who loves students and who will inspire them spiritually and academically. The teacher should be able to create a learning environment where learning is fun, where students will feel safe and accepted, and where  differentiated instructional techniques are used to meet students' individual needs. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver engaging Christ-centered instruction aligned with the Adventist curriculum.
  • Tailor teaching methods through differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and academic needs. 
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth, critical thinking and creativity.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff, parents, and the community to support student development.
  • Maintain accurate rewards, reports, and communication with parents and administrators.
  • Incorporate technology into daily lesson plans. 
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional development activities, service projects, and school events as required. 
  • Committed to Christian education and support the overall mission of Perrine Seventh-day Adventist school.
Required Experience

Successful applicants will:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in education or a related academic field of study.
  • Have current denominational teaching credentials or demonstrate a clear readiness to acquire North American Division certification.
  • Be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in faithful, regular standing.
  • Maintain the legal right to reside and work in the United States.
  • Demonstrate a heartfelt dedication to the distinctive spiritual philosophy and worldview of Adventist education.
  • Exhibit excellent teaching methodologies alongside effective, nurturing classroom management strategies.
  • Communicate with clarity and work cooperatively with staff, administration, and parents.
  • Demonstrate creative and energetic teaching styles that encourage students’ participation and growth.
  • Be adaptable, creative, and committed to integrate faith into learning while fostering a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
