Description

The Central States Conference of SDA is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Part-Time Education Superintendent for The Central States Conference & theV. Lindsay K-8 school in Kansas City, Kansas.  The individual will provide spiritual, administrative, and strategic leadership for the school. In addition, they will support Adventist education programs, uphold the values and mission of the SDA Church, and collaborate with church and school leadership to foster academic excellence and spiritual growth.

 

V. Lindsay Seventh-day Adventist School is a private, coeducational Christian school operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It serves students from pre-K through 8th grade and is located at 3310 Garfield Avenue, Kansas City, KS

 

Mission & Philosophy

The school’s mission emphasizes holistic Christian education, aiming to develop students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and guidance to local Adventist schools and educational programs
  • Support principals, teachers, and staff in delivering Christ-centered education
  • Promote the philosophy and mission of Seventh-day Adventist education
  • Ensure compliance with denominational education policies and accreditation standards
  • Assist with school improvement planning, curriculum alignment, and program evaluation
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities for educators
  • Collaborate with pastors, church leaders, and conference administration
  • Support student spiritual development through integration of faith and learning
  • Participate in budgeting, enrollment strategies, and resource planning
  • Serve as a liaison between the conference, local churches, and schools
Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Practicing member in regular standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Leadership, or related field preferred
  • Experience in educational leadership (principal, administrator, or superintendent level preferred)
  • Knowledge of Seventh-day Adventist educational philosophy and structure
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and spiritual growth

Work Schedule

  • This is a part-time position (estimated 15–25 hours per week, flexible based on need)
  • Some evening and weekend responsibilities may be required
