Canyon Christian Academy (CCA) is currently seeking a qualified educator to join their team as the Kindergarten/1st grade teacher for the 2026-2027 SY. The school has strong support from its school board and local church community. Additionally, they operate a state-licensed preschool program, which has been a great feeder to the school.

CCA is a mission-driven educational institution dedicated to serving the local community.  Located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, CCA has a newly constructed, state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest educational technology in each classroom. The school employs a Preschool director/ teacher, a K2 teacher as well as a full-time administrative secretary. 

Situated in the Tularosa Basin at the foot of the Sacramento Mountains to the east and Holloman Air Force Base to the west, Alamogordo is renowned for its proximity to White Sands National Park with its diverse outdoor activities, including desert and mountain exploration.

As a relatively low-population city, Alamogordo provides an exceptional environment for families seeking a nurturing and enriching educational experience. It is  a 1.5-hour drive to El Paso, Texas, and a 3.5-hour drive to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This opening is for the 2026-2027 school year and is a 10-month assignment. The candidate must be in regular member in good standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The applicant must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 1) Elementary degree; 2) Current NAD certification; 3) Willing and able to post grades and progress reports for online access; 4) Team player; 5) Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven. There is mentorship offered if needed through the conference and school.
