K–8 Teacher – English Language Arts & Social Studies Emphasis

Are you an energetic, Christ-centered educator who loves helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally?

Thompsonville is seeking a dedicated K–8 teacher to join our school family and help provide an engaging, nurturing, and distinctly Seventh-day Adventist educational experience for our students.

We are especially looking for an educator with strengths in English Language Arts and History/Social Studies who enjoys working with students across multiple grade levels and is excited about the unique opportunities found in a small-school setting.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Be qualified/certified to teach students in the K–8 setting, with particular strength in English Language Arts and History/Social Studies
• Demonstrate strong instructional skills in reading, writing, communication, history, and social studies
• Be able to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students across multiple grade levels
• Have, or be willing to obtain, Encounter Bible curriculum training, particularly for grades 5–8
• Be comfortable teaching or assisting with Physical Education for grades 5–8
• Be committed to integrating Biblical principles and the Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education throughout the school day
• Value positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the church community
• Be flexible, collaborative, creative, and willing to contribute to the many dimensions of small-school life
