Description
This position is for an open area of concentration within psychology, with preference given to a generalist; clinical/counseling psychologists. Successful candidates will demonstrate administrative leadership, as well as commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship. Chair of the Psychology & Counseling Department responsibilities include the following areas: (1) program planning and development; (2) Department administration and communication; (3) Management of BA Psychology; BS Counseling Psychology; MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling; M.Ed. School Counseling degree programs; (4) facilitation of University-wide policies in coordination with Dean School of Graduate & Professional Studies (SGPS), Provost and President.

Clinical/Counseling Psychology - Passionate Faithful SDA to Christian Education - Strong Teaching and Educational Management Experience - Ability to Articulate and Promote Departmental Goals and Needs Language Skills: - Superior command of English grammar and spelling. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Exceptional presentation and public speech ability. Mathematical and Technology Skills: - Intermediate knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Basic computational skills Reasoning Ability: - Ability to deal with a variety of office situations. - Resolve student conflicts & academic issues - Applies logical or scientific methods to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Other Skills and Abilities: - Must exhibit leadership skills. - Possesses capacity for planning, organizing and controlling. - Advanced skills in team building, motivation, and conflict resolution.
