Description

The Administrative Assistant & State Certification Officer within the Education & Psychology department serves as the Washington State Certification Officer, responsible for completing certification reports, maintaining admissions files related to certification, and corresponding with the State of WA regarding certification requirements. They attend semi-annual gatherings associated with certification, collaborate with districts and students to fulfill intern sub-requirements, and ensure compliance with State rules and regulations. Additionally, they maintain accurate student records, collaborate with IT personnel to update electronic files, and compile data for annual State reports.

Required Experience

Education for the Administrative Assistant & State Certification Officer position requires at least an Associate’s degree, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. No specific licenses or certifications are required. Candidates should ideally possess 3-5 years of experience, with 5-10 years preferred, demonstrating excellence in work processes, attention to detail, and adherence to university policies and regulatory requirements. Essential skills include a customer-focused approach, effective communication, collegiality, initiative, efficiency, coachability, and the ability to manage people effectively. Compensation for this role ranges from $18.80 to $21.36 hourly. For hourly positions, no relocation money will be provided.
