Description

Primary Teaching Opportunities: Oversee the keyboard & theory studies areas. Recruit students, teach lessons, piano pedagogy courses, and oversee piano proficiency & collaborative piano. Teach theory and support adjunct faculty. Establish and maintain positive relationships with area and national music educators.

Other Opportunities and Responsibilities: Possibility of developing new courses that strategically contribute to Department of Music growth and offerings. Additional responsibilities include participation in departmental activities, collaborative piano, solo performances, professional and research activities, attending professional association meetings; attending faculty assemblies, development days, serving on committees, and advising. 

Required Experience

Qualifications for Employment: A Doctor of Musical Arts, Doctor of Music, PhD or ABD with equivalent professional experience is preferred. A Master of Arts, Master of Music or Master of Fine Arts degree in piano performance|pedagogy with equivalent professional experience is required.
