Ozark Adventist Academy is looking for a Head Dean of Women for the ‘24 - ‘25 school year.  The head dean is responsible for providing a safe, spiritual, and inviting environment for the dorm students.  The head dean is supported by two part-time assistant deans and must be able to create and manage daily routines. Head deans are an integral part of the overall academy program and are part of the Administrative Team and serve on the Student Life and the Campus Life committees. The ideal candidate will have a passion to work and support the students in the dorm through mentoring spiritually and socially. The dean resides in a house attached to the dorm.

Ozark Adventist Academy (www.ozarkacademy.org), located in Gentry, Arkansas, currently serves about 120 students.  The campus sits on more than 200 acres with Flint Creek flowing through the campus. The community has many resources. City Lake Park with mountain biking trails, disc golf, nature trails, a small lake, and a pump track is less than three miles from the academy.  The Illinois River is about 15 minutes away and is open for canoe trips and has a kayak park. Forty minutes away the Bentonville area has Crystal Bridges Art Museum and world-class bike trails that hosted the 2022 Walmart UCI Cyclocross Championship.  The possibilities to explore are endless.

Required Experience

The successful applicant has a calm personality that works well with youth to create a safe, nurturing environment. They can manage assistant deans, schedules, student workers, and the overall dorm atmosphere. They enjoy teenagers and can help them obtain and maintain a positive outlook while setting and achieving goals. The applicant will be independent and able to recognize what is needed and address issues while fully informing the principal. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States.
