Valley View Junior Academy is located in Arroyo Grande on California's central coast, just 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean. We seek a dynamic and engaging teaching principal for grades 7 & 8. Enjoy an ocean view from your classroom with sunny skies and moderate temperatures year-round in a small agricultural community. Outdoor activities abound with surfing in the ocean, hiking & biking the nearby hills, or camping and boating at nearby lakes. We have a diverse community with 1 Spanish, 1 Korean, and 4 English constituent churches supporting our school.

Required Experience

Candidates will be committed to Valley View’s mission of “Learn with Passion, Serve with Compassion”, and have a passion for Seventh-day Adventist Christian Education. The ideal candidate must hold a current North American Division Basic, Standard, or Professional teaching certificate in elementary education. The candidate must be in regular standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States at the time of application. The position is a 12-month position beginning July 1, 2024. The salary range for the teaching principal position is $71,791.10 to $88,363.53 based on North American Division teacher certification and experience.
