You will love coming to work at Parkersburg Academy! We are looking for a teacher for our grades 2-4 cclassroom in our growing, 4 teacher school. Our school includes a Montessori-style preschool, a forest K-1 program, a 2-4 classroom, and 5-8. You will be part of a 4 teacher team that teaches Monday through Thursday and has one full day a week for planning, tutoring or grading.   You will be the home room teacher responsible for all core subjects for grades 2-4. Our school pLans field trips and outdoor adventures  during the year that you will get to participate in and that will enrich your classroom teaching. Our grades 2-4 teacher must be a strong Seventh day Adventist Christian role model who cares about our kids. NAD certification or ability/willingness to qualify for it is required.  We use the standards based learning model. It would be great if you have some experience with that, but if you don't, we will gladly mentor you… we are learning, too. We prefer some successful teaching experience demonstrating  your ability to manage an elementary classroom and help kids learn, however, we would happily consider a new graduate.   Please send us your resume today so we can get acquainted.
