Description

Mountain View Academy is seeking a results-oriented School Business Manager with expertise in overseeing all accounting functions in the business office. This includes accounts payable, payroll, human resources, and general ledger. The candidate will proficiently manage student financial records, reconcile monthly bank statements, and generate financial statements. This person will also have experience in hiring and supervising staff, maintaining faculty and student files, ensuring budget controls, and adept at compiling and presenting reports for cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss statements. The Business Manager reports and works closely with the principal.

Required Experience

Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, Mountain View Academy is a 9-12 program, with the school located just a short distance from multiple major technology companies, recreational areas, and cultural attractions. The school is supported by 20 constituent churches representing the diverse cultures found throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and Peninsula. Candidates will be committed to the mission of Adventist Education, relish the opportunity to work in the culturally diverse California Bay Area, and enjoy working with high school students and their parents in a goal and mission-oriented academic setting. Applicants must be active Seventh-day Adventist church members and eligible to work in the United States. (Hold current work visa and residency in the US if not a US citizen.) 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 1) a degree (BS or higher) in Accounting or its equivalent and two plus years of experience in accounting or finance.; 2) able to perform each essential duty with judgment, creativity, discretion, and the use of intellectual ability; 3) a can-do attitude and solid work ethic; 4) a positive, uplifting, and cooperative spirit; 5) show passion for the development of young people and is on fire for Jesus Christ; 6) possesses the skills of organization, follow-through, and communication; 7) utilize accounting and other software such as Excel, QuickBooks, AASI, and FACTS SIS; 8) being bilingual in English and Spanish would be a plus.  Our preferred candidate should have prior experience as an Academy Business Manager.

Using the current scale, the salary range for this position is $78,996 to $83,416 based on the North American Division pay scale, experience, and cost of living adjustments.
