It is located in the small, quiet town of Avon Park in central Florida, about 80 miles south of Orlando. WMA has a rich history in the community and is known for their science and music programs. WMA is seeking a collaborative leader to be the Vice-Principal for Student Services. They are looking for someone who is detail oriented and has a passion for working with young people. The vice-principal will support the administrative team in creating a safe and supportive environment for all students, helping with the implementation of curriculum, and supporting staff with a variety of initiatives and day-to-day needs. Primary responsibilities include student discipline and overseeing various aspects of student life including, S.A., athletics, clubs, and activities. Other duties will include overseeing attendance and working to improve parental participation at school. Candidates must be flexible and willing to teach a class and/or take on the additional role of being a university admissions counselor.
