Position

The person selected as Principal/Teacher serves in capacity of school leader and classroom teacher.

 Ephesus Jr. Academy (EJA) seeks a dynamic and energetic principal/teacher who is committed to the mission of Adventist education. We are looking for someone who is a visionary leader and will work in partnership with other school personnel, constituents, and conference leaders to help the school increase enrollment and continue the legacy of providing a Christian school environment that demonstrates excellence in academics and all other areas. We desire a teacher that is familiar with multi-grade teaching, who enjoys working with students and who will help students reach their God-given potential. The school is well-supported by its constituent church, Ephesus SDA Church, and is involved with many activities and programs such as music, robotics, PE, enrichment activities, after school clubs, and outreach programs. EJA is a wonderful place where students feel safe and loved and where they enjoy being a school family. The school is located in Richmond, Virginia, and is within driving distance to Washington, DC and many historical and recreational places in Virginia. Requirements

• Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Achieved no less than a Bachelor’s Degree
• Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
• Sterling Volunteers clearance

Qualifications

• Eligible for denominational administration endorsement
• Eligible for denominational teacher certificate
• Adventist K-8 school experience/training preferred
• Administrative experience and/or training preferred
• Prior multi-grade teaching experience preferred
• Effective business management skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
