Description

Bass Memorial Academy, an SDA boarding high school in Lumberton, Mississippi is seeking applicants for a Physical Education Teacher.  The teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical growth.  The teacher is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching Physical Education I, Physical Education II, Health, Assistant Coach of our Gymnastics team plus two additional classes (preferably Religion I & II), but other options exist depending on qualifications.  Please visit the Bass Memorial Academy website (www.bmasda.org) for a job description and an employment application form for this position.  Job descriptions and the employment application form can be found on the “Career Opportunities” page.

Required Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a secondary endorsement in Physical Education.  Preference will be given to candidates who have a CDL license (or are willing to obtain one) with an endorsement for passenger busses.  Applicants are required to have and maintain a valid teaching certificate issued by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.  Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Physical Education.
